Monitoring with Care, Not Control

Pathroot’s Monitoring Solution helps individuals stay accountable while providing peace of mind to families and providers.

1

Connected Devices: Wearables & Breathalyzers

We integrate with wearables to monitor sleep, movement, and heart rate, to track emotional and physical changes. Bluetooth breathalyzers allow for secure tests, and automatically share results with trusted supporters.

2

Behavioral Pattern & Risk Analysis

Our platform assesses vulnerability by tracking changes in behavioral patterns like sleep disruptions or low activity. Combined with breathalyzer data and check-ins, a personalized risk score is created and updated.

3

Geofencing & Meeting Check-Ins

Geofencing allows members to confirm attendance at support meetings or other locations through their phone, reinforcing routine, accountability, and positive habits.

4

Alerts, Insights & Guided Support

When risk signals rise, the system sends private alerts to supporters with actionable suggestions, such as a check-in, a grounding resource, or support group recommendation.

FAQ

What is Pathroot's monitoring solution?

Pathroot’s monitoring tools use data from wearables, breathalyzers, and location check-ins to provide real-time insights, promote accountability, and offer early warning signs if someone in recovery may need extra support.

How does monitoring help prevent relapse?

Monitoring tracks patterns in sleep, activity, stress, and routine engagement. When certain changes occur—like missed check-ins or elevated stress—Pathroot can notify the individual or their support circle to help take action early.

Do I need to download an app?

Yes. the monitoring solution will require the individual being monitored to have the Pathroot app that will be available in the Apple and Google app stores.

What devices will be supported?

The monitoring system is designed to work with popular off-the-shelf wearables like Fitbit, Apple Watch, and others. Breathalyzer testing is integrated with BACTrack's device. and location-based meeting check-ins only require you to have your phone.

Will my treatment provider see my data?

If your program is connected to Pathroot and you’ve given permission, they may receive alerts or general trends that help them check in and offer support when needed. You’re always in control of your privacy settings.

Can others in my support group see my monitoring results?

Yes. You can designate others in your support group to see your data. If you have not given permission, they will not be able to view your monitoring results.

How do geofenced check ins work?

Geofencing uses your phone’s location to confirm attendance at key recovery activities, like meetings, therapy sessions, or routines you’ve chosen to track. It’s designed to be supportive, not invasive. Activities are added to your calendar in Pathroot so check ins can be triggered.

What kind of alerts will I get?

You and those you have designated may receive notifications related to changes in your recovery data, like high stress, irregular sleep, or missed check-ins—as well as reminders, encouragement, or suggestions for helpful next steps.
